Good article about shoestring movie making.

Good article, though I disagree on two things. Lighting is glossed over a bit, and I have found that reflectors or even small lights have been needed for nearly every shot. For example during an outside shot, I had to block sunlight to keep from blinding the actress. So, since her light was blocked, I had to reflect light (from a different angle) to compensate. You almost always need lighting adjustment somehow.

And, sound. Just find a $50.00 shotgun mic at least. This is very important. Sound is one of the most ignored aspects of these kinds of shoots.
